April training: Detention and Removal of Foreign Citizens

The topic of our April 2024 training was “Detention and Removal of Foreign Citizens”. Our lead speaker was Thurman Karan, Detention and Deportation Officer at the Asia and Europe Removal Management Division of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The speakers presented a new system to deliver travel documents and talked about the cooperation between ICE and the consular corps in the US. After the presentation, we certainly saw the importance of this topic reflected in the numerous questions by our members!
