Professional Working Lunch

On behalf of the Board, it is my pleasure to invite you to the November Professional Program and Working Lunch, which is scheduled for Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the Rosewood Hotel, 1050 31st Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20007.  This is the first lunch of this Consular Corps year.  Below please find details for this month’s professional program and working lunch.

Our Guest Speaker will be:  Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs, Carl C. Risch

Topic:             What is New at at the State Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs

Objective:       To hear about the direction that the new Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs wants to take the Bureau of Consular Affairs.

Speaker’s Background:  Mr. Risch started his career as a Foreign Service Officer and served as Consul in Amsterdam.  He then moved over to USCIS and has worked on immigration issues since then.  He comes to The State Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs from his position as Acting Chief of Staff at USCIS.
